Artist Profile

My love of photography started when I was introduced to the darkroom and immediately fell in love with the simplicity of a black and white photograph. I enjoy using old film medium format cameras and have played some with large format. They bring produce unique photos not able to be reproduced by digital cameras.

My influences throughout the years include Ansel Adams, Roy Decarava, Diane Arbus, Annie Leiboweitz and Richard Avedon.

I have become well seasoned with digital photography. As a nanny of small children I take many candid shots capturing their natural, innocent beauty. I expose a side of them that a studio photographer can not. Children are most at comfort in their own home or outdoors where they can play and I can the see get their true expressions.

I enjoy taking environmental portraits of people of all ages using the outdoors natural lighting.
